22 1966 in McCook, Nebraska. He was buried on Dec 27 1966 in Calvery Cemetery,
McCook, Nebraska. Andrew, married Mary Schutte in 1917. They worded a couple
of years in South Dakota, before settling in McCook. They had a family of 12
children. Andrew worked at a slaughter house, then at St. Catherine's hospital
on maintenance. He rebuilt their heating system, also installed refrigeration.

He was married to Mary Elizabeth Schutte (daughter of
Herman Schutte and Anna Maria Schroer) on Nov 27 1917 in
St. Stephens Parish, St. Stephen, Nebraska. Mary Elizabeth
Schutte was born on Jul 17 1900 in Lawrence, Nuckolls, Nebraska. She died
on Oct 8 1992 in McCook, Nebraska. She was buried on Oct 12 1992 in Calvery
Cemetery, McCook, Nebraska.
Mary graduated from St. Stephen Catholic Grade school and Andy from Sacred Heart
Catholic Grade school, Lawrence, Nebraska.
After their marriage, they moved to Yankton, South Dakota where Andy was employed
on the Strand farm. In 1919, they moved to Gettysburg, South Dakota where he
worked on a farm for one year. Andy and Mary then moved to McCook, Nebraska
where Andy was employed until he retired in early 1966.
Andy and Mary enjoyed their family life. Mary and daughter Dianna live in McCook.
They enjoy playing Bingo.

Mary Elizabeth Kohmetscher of McCook died Thursday (Oct 8, 1992) at Hillcrest
Nursing Home in McCook. She was 92 years old.
She was born July 17, 1900, at Lawrence, to Herman and Marie (Schroer) Schutte.
She attended St. Stephens School in Lawrence.
On Nov. 27, 1917, she married Andrew John Kohmetscher in Lawrence. She lived
in the McCook area for the past 70 years.
She was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church and alter society.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Dec. 23, 1966; her parents; two sons,
Victor and Hugh; two daughters, Erma and Rita Rose; two brothers, Joe and Frank;
and five sisters, Anne, Katie, Minnie, Rose and Bertha.
Survivors includ two sons, Kenneth of San Diego, Calif., and James of McCook;
six daughters, Mary Ann Stritt of Indianola, Imelda Hays of McCook, Eunice Norman
of Rochester, Minn., Roberta Cappel of McCook, Betty Hull of Port Isabel, Texas,
Deanna Kohmetscher of McCook; three sisters, Johanna Sughroue of Indianola, Louise
Bassford of Cambridge, Lucille Spalding of Benkelman; 36 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren;
and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m., Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook,
with the Rev. Rand Langhorst officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
in McCook.
Memorials may be given in her name and left at the funeral home.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of arrangements.

Hugh Benjamin Kohmetscher was born on Dec 17 1921 in Lawrence, Nuckolls,
Nebraska. He died on Nov 8 1975 in Denver, Colorado.
Hugh did not marry. He graduated from McCook, nebraska Grade and High school
and then worked for a time in Lincoln, Nebraska. Hugh also served in the U.S.
Army for several years. He then worked for Gates Rubber Company, Denver, Colorado
and later for a photography studio in Denver.
In 1975, Hugh contracted pneumonia and passed away in Veterns Hospital, Denver,
Colorado.

Rita Rose Kohmetscher was born on Feb 5 1923 in McCook, Nebraska. She
died on Nov 8 1977.
When Rita and Glen married, he was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base, Denver,
Colorado. From there they moved to Greenville, Texas until September 1945 when
he received his discharge from the Air Force. They then moved to McCook where
he worked for the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company.
In November 1950, they moved to Indianola, Nebraska where Glen managed te Co-op
until 1971. They presently live in Indianola where he works for the Indianola
Oil Company in the fertilizer department.
Glen retired in Indianola, Nebraska.
