26. Anna M. Kohmetscher was born on Dec 16 1891 in Missouri. She died on Dec 15 1918 in Lawrence, Nuckolls, Nebraska. Anna, married Joe Venhaus, lived and farmed 2 miles of Lawrence until influenza took both their lives in December 1918, leaving 3 small children. Gilbert, Vince, and Norma made their home with grandparents, Ben and Sophia Kohmetscher. Today, Gilbert lives in Louisiana. Vince made a career in the army as a cook through World War II and the Korean War. He and his wife are retired in Abilene, Texas. Norma married Dr. Joe Higgins, then moved to Oxnard, California where they raised their family of 7 children. (Lawrence, Nebraska 1884 - 1984)

She was married to Joseph Venhaus (son of Casper Venhaus and Anna Beck) on Nov 22 1910 in Lawrence, Nuckolls, Nebraska. Joseph Venhaus was born on Feb 5 1885 in Nebraska. He died on Dec 12 1918 in Lawrence, Nuckolls, Nebraska. He was buried on Dec 14 1918 in St. Stephens, Nuckolls, Nebraska. Anna M. Kohmetscher and Joseph Venhaus had the following children:

child+143 i. Gilbert Venhaus. He joined the C.C. Camps during the depression, during World War II. He was employed in electrical work at Boeing Field, Seattle. He is now retired and living in Raceland, La. with Carrie.
child+144 ii. Vince Venhaus. He joined the armed forces, serving in the Aluetian Islands, Japan and Korea. He now lives as a retired Sergeant with Lois in Abelene, Texas.
