William Blume (b. Schnellville) and Elisabeth Miller (b. Celestine) .

5. Leo Louis Blume, born 10/19/1933, baptism 10/20/1933. Parents were
William Blume and Elisabeth Miller. Sponsors were Jos. Miller and
Catherine Miller.

William C. Blume Obituatary
War One Veteran,
Succumbs At 67

William C. Blume, 67, a farmer in the Celestine community, died at
1:50 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital. He was a veteran of World War
I.

Mr. Blume, who had been in failing health for some time, was taken to
the hospital in an ambulance around 10 a.m. Sunday after his condition
became worse as the result of an embolism.

He was born at Celestine on April 13, 1894, the son of Joseph and
Elizabeth Miller Blume.

On April 12, 1921, he was married to Elizabeth Miller, who bore the
same name as hois mother. She survives, along with four sons, Othmar
of Indianopolis, William M., Leo and Maurice, all at home; a daughter,
Helen, at home; two sisters, Miss Anna Blume and Mrs. George Acra,
both of Indianolpolis; and two grandchildren.

Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.

He was a member of the St. Celestine Men's Sodality.

Friends may pay respects after 6 p.m. today at the Becher and Son
Mortuary. At 7:30 p.m. Tuesday a rosary will be said by St.
Celestine's Men's Sodality and other members of the parish.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Celestine
Church, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Members of
American Legion Post 147 of Jasper will conduct graveside rites.
