Elizabeth K. Blume, 79, of Celestine, died at 11:50 a.m. Saturday in
St. Joseph's Hospital in Huntingburg.
Mrs. Blume was born July 8, 1900, the daughter of Mathias and
Tharsilla (Brang) Miller of Celestine. William C. Blume, to whom she
was married at Celestine on April 12, 1921, preceded her in death on
Sept. 25, 1961.
Surviving are four sons, Othmar of Greenwood, Ind., and William, Leo
and Maurice, all of Celestine; one daughter, Mrs Sammy (Helen) Ingle
of Celestine; one brother, Charles Miller of Jasper; two sisters,
Sister Tharsilla, OSB, and Mrs. Edwin (Caroline) Reckelhoff, both of
Ferdinand, and 15 grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Mary and Hildegarde,
and three sisters, Theresa Reckelhoff, Cecelia Miller and Katherine
Stemle.
Friends may call at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper
where members of the St. Ann Society and other members of St.
Celestine Parish will recite a rosary at 7:30 tonight.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Celestine Catholic
Church, followed by burial in the church cemetery.
