Mary, married Frank Jurgensmeier in 1919. They made their home on a
farm 5 miles south of Lawrence. He died in a car accident by the
bridge south of St. Stephens in 1930, leaving her with 6 small
children. She moved several times to towns east of us. Her four sons
Ralph, Orville, Leland, Gerald all joined the navy at the time of
World War II. Leland's ship sank off the coast of France, where his
body rests at sea. Frances, Mrs. Walter Schroenrock, lives on a farm
by Fairbury and Mary Lou, Mrs. Virgil Vermass, lives at Hickman.
