Indianola -- Elizabeth Anna Blume, 93, of Indianola, died Friday (Jan 31, 1992)
at the Cambridge Hospital.
She was born Dec. 3, 1898, in Lawrence, to Henry and Catherine (Verkent) Kitten.
She lived in Indianola for more than 50 years.
She married Therodore Blume Feb. 11, 1920, in Slaton, Texas.
She was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church and Alter Society; Veterns
of Foreign Wars and American Legion auxiliaries, all of Indianola.
Preceding her in death were her husband in 1965; two sons, Robert and James;
seven brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include three sons, Harold and wife Violet and Bernard and wife Jane,
all of Indianola, and Richard and wife Janet, of Wells, Texas; two daughters,
Blanche Younger of Crete and Alice and husband Wayne Hansen of Cambridge; one
brother, Ray of Slaton, Texas; one sister, Helen Miller, of Trinidad, Colo; 21
grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine's Catholic
Church in Indianola, with the Rev. Daniel Pohl officiating.
Interment will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery.
A rosary will be 7:30 today at the Carpenter Funeral Home in Indianola.
Memorials may be given in her name and left at the Carpenter Funeral Home in
Indianola.
